Valproate Desitin injection

Valproate Desitin solution for injection should be used in epilepsy patients for whom oral treatment with sodium valproate is not possible.

Primary generalized epileptic seizures such as absence seizures (petit mal, absence), myoclonic and tonic-clonic seizures.

Sodium valproate may also be used alone or in combination with other antiepileptic drugs in other types of epilepsy, such as simple or complex partial epilepsy or secondary generalized partial epilepsy.

Valproate Desitin solution for injection 100 mg/ml contains 100 mg of sodium valproate per ml of solution for injection. In Belgium, Valproate Desitin solution for injection 100 mg/ml is supplied in packs of 5 ampoules, each containing 3 ml or 10 ml.
